Facebook is a major social media network around the globe. Yet for privacy, mental health, or other reasons, many people do contemplate taking a break or ending their use of the service. If you're one of them, then here is a quick guide you can follow to learn how you can deactivate Facebook account quickly.
When you deactivate your Facebook account, you are temporarily disabling it. Your profile is not visible, so there’s no chance that you appear in someone else’s search results. Your data is not lost, and you can reactivate your account any time.
Here are the easy steps you can follow to deactivate your Facebook account:
Go to facebook.com and sign in with your email/phone number and password.
Click the drop-down arrow in the upper right corner of Facebook. Select Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
On the left sidebar, tap Your Facebook Information.
Select Deactivation and Deletion. There you will see two options:
Deactivate Account
Delete Account Permanently
Choose Deactivate Account and click Continue to Account Deactivation.
